What we build

Three ways to enclose your outdoor space

Every home is different — an existing covered deck, an open patio, or a fresh start. We build all three and help you pick the right enclosure for your space and budget.

ScreenEze Screen Room

ScreenEze Screen Room

The fastest, most cost-effective way to enclose an existing covered deck or porch. The aluminum track mounts straight into your current framing for a clean finish with no visible hardware — most jobs wrap in one to two days.

Best for: Existing covered decks and porches

Screened Porch

Screened Porch

A fully framed screened enclosure attached to your home or built free-standing in the yard. We handle the structural framing, screening and door install as one complete project — over an existing patio or as a brand-new structure.

Best for: New builds and full enclosure projects

Four-Season Sunroom

Four-Season Sunroom

A glass-enclosed room that works year-round in any weather. A sunroom gives you full weather protection with the feel of being outdoors — a larger investment than a screen room, but a real expansion of usable living space.

Best for: Year-round enclosed living space

Why homeowners choose screen rooms

What a screened porch actually gives you

Kansas City summers are beautiful, but bugs, humidity and unpredictable weather make outdoor living tough without an enclosure. A screened porch or ScreenEze screen room changes that completely.

Insect control

Enjoy the outdoors without mosquitoes, flies and other pests — especially welcome on Kansas City summer evenings.

Extra living space

A covered porch becomes a full outdoor room for entertaining, relaxing or working from home.

Extended season use

Use the space comfortably from early spring through late fall — and year-round if you choose a sunroom.

Increased home value

A professionally installed screened porch or sunroom adds measurable value and resale appeal to your home.

Understanding the difference

Screen room or sunroom — which is right for you?

The real difference comes down to season coverage and budget. Here is a straightforward comparison to help you decide.

Three-season screened porch enclosure by Acumen Renovations

Screen Room / Screened Porch

Mesh screens keep insects out while letting air and natural light flow through. It is a three-season space — comfortable in spring, summer and fall, but not built for winter use.

Four-season glass sunroom by Acumen Renovations

Four-Season Sunroom

Glass or insulated panels replace screens to create a fully enclosed room that works in any weather, all year. It feels like an extension of your home rather than an outdoor space.

Planning your budget

What affects the cost of your project

We work with homeowners across a range of budgets. The factors below are the main cost drivers — and we cover every one during your quote, so there are no surprises.

Size

Square footage is the primary cost driver. Larger openings need more material and more installation time.

Existing structure

Adding ScreenEze to an existing covered deck costs less than building new framing. We assess yours at the site visit.

Screen type

Standard fiberglass screen is the most economical. TuffScreen and specialty fabrics cost more but last longer.

Door additions

Adding an aluminum storm door raises the price slightly but greatly improves the look and usability of the room.
